El artículo 30 de la Ley de Seguridad Social dispone que el Director General ejerce la representación legal, judicial y extrajudicial, y la titularidad de la jurisdicción coactiva del IESS... ▫️Según la página web de la CGE, la fecha de inicio de funciones ha sido el pasado 20 de junio de 2025. ▫️De acuerdo con la página web del SRI, el nuevo Director General consta como representante legal de la Corporación para el Desarrollo de Emprendimiento y la Innovación Social (CODEIS) (información pública). ▫️Según la información del SRI, dicha entidad tiene como actividad económica la asesoría y ayuda a empresas y administraciones públicas en materia de planificación, organización, eficiencia y control. ▫️De acuerdo con la información disponible en su perfil de LinkedIn, el nuevo Director General ha desempeñado roles como pasante en asuntos internacionales de la OEA, embajador de One Young World, consultor y coordinador de proyectos, entre otros cargos. ▫️A ello se suman los títulos profesionales del nuevo Director General, lo que denota, sin duda, una experiencia muy relevante, pero no necesariamente una experiencia relacionada con la seguridad social y con el IESS.
