Well. It’s not entirely true though. There’s a lot of files related to a Mac in various folders on your system (mainly the User’s library folder) that also are not cleaned when you delete an app. I wish there was some more control over that, it can consume a lot of space

This is one reason why Windows just gets slower and more buggier as you run the same installation for a few years until you wind up just reinstalling.

There are also no non-modern framework examples like these, McMaster is just unique full-stop, not unique *today*, in the early 2000s you had to wait a minute for an image to load (really.)

Some of the story may be that people capable of providing the top tier experience enjoy doing on their own. & those incapable can go a long way with the help of a framework, but they likely fail (or compromise) in other areas that offset the baseline perf level of the framework.

I answered the question that was asked.
As for “why there are no modern framework examples like this”, there most certainly are, but more often that not, UX isn’t a business priority. Nothing about modern frameworks stops you from providing this experience.

Often, rewriting the website in a newer tool ends up being far more work than what the newer tool could offer in savings.
You'd have to ask the creators of the site to be sure, but I'd wager it's pretty simple to keep it running as-is.

PHP basically exists because Facebook uses PHP because that was the hot tech stack when FB was founded.
