"This is our job, we trap Hindu women to convert them to Islam," tells Afsana, whose husband posed as a Hindu to trap this woman: Seema Agarwal (name changed, surname retained), a widow and mother of two, was deceived by Iqrar Pasha, who posed as Raj Thakur. Today I spoke with Seema, who shared her ordeal. After her husband's passing, Ikrar, alias Raj, contacted her through a wrong number. Through frequent calls, he gradually gained her trust and trapped her emotionally. The couple had a small wedding ceremony at home, following Hindu rituals, and began living as husband and wife. Raj claimed he was a divorcee with a son. However, nearly two years later, Seema discovered his true identity as Ikrar Pasha, a married man with a wife, Afsana and four children. His wife told Seema, "This is our job; we trap Hindu women to convert them." The family began pressuring Seema to convert to Islam. Ikrar, who had previously observed Navratri fasts with her, even forced her to eat beef. He and Afsana made his brother's Israr, Raja and Zarrar rape Seema. In February, a case was registered against him under the mild charges of Dowry Prohibition Act. The accused roam free with no action and hence, Seema now seeks to file a new case under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act. Case is from Moradabad.
