The anti-AI movement is gaining steam. The AI Labs botched the pitch and people are hurting. A lot of it is exacerbated by a federal government that has decided not to regulate anything, while also 10xing inflation through tariffs, deportations, and wars of choice. In a different political and corporate environment where people felt AI could help them improve their lives and not replace their livelihoods this wouldn't be the case. In this environment, especially in the West it is hard to be a creator and not feel like public enemy number 1.
