Wildlife Week 2025
Celebrating the harmony of Human Wildlife Coexistence
On October 4th, Kanha Tiger Reserve came alive with the spirit of conservation and culture
12 Eco-Development Committees performed powerful folk songs celebrating forests, wildlife, and the deep bond between humans and nature. Traditional Ahir, Saila, and Baiga dances added vibrant cultural rhythm to the day
A delicious spread of local cuisine - kodo rice, kutki kheer, urad vada, makka pej, rice chilla, mint chutney, makka roti and mahua laddoos was lovingly prepared by women from local Self-Help Groups, showcasing the region’s rich culinary heritage
With over 250 participants including EDC members, locals, and tourists, the event beautifully celebrated Human-Wildlife Coexistence through music, food, and community spirit
