Newham is also celebrating 🙌🏽 with 5 projects shortlisted for the Pineapple Awards, recognising places that make a real difference to our communities & neighbourhoods.
Our Finalists:
✅ Carpenters Estate (Activation) – Putting residents first with community hubs and co-designed spaces.
✅ Lower Lea Crossing (Infrastructure) – Transforming travel with safer, greener walking and cycling routes.
✅ Canning Town & Cody Road (Future Place) – A strategic vision for jobs, growth, and sustainable neighborhoods.
✅ Queen’s Market & Queen’s Square (Public Space) – Investing £6.6m to revitalize our much-loved local destinations.
✅ Modular Home Demonstration (Building) – Leading the way in high-quality, energy-efficient housing innovation.
The next stage of judging takes place during the Festival of Pineapples (24–26 February), with winners announced on 22 April 2026.
