Last October was the most challenging month I've had professionally in years. I needed to step into multiple layers of hard situations and delicate conversations. In that moment, I realized I couldn't have a strategic plan for all that needed to be handled, but I could choose a set of core values that would guide me moment by moment in what I did and what I said.
One of the values that become clear was: Compassion

@compassioncode , has been an influence in my understanding of what it means to be compassionate. It doesn't always mean being "nice". Sometimes you need to share feedback with people that will be uncomfortable, but in their best interest and in the interest of the people around them.
