The Deputy Director General (Training) visited the FOSMA Training Institute, Noida, where he reviewed the facilities, including various types of simulators and training infrastructure. During the visit, the DDG also interacted with candidates undergoing the 2nd Mate and Phase II competency courses.
During the interaction, several important topics were discussed, particularly related to examinations. The DDG briefed the candidates on recent initiatives undertaken by the Directorate General of Shipping in the domain of IT and e-Governance, including the upcoming launch of the new DGS Training & Certification website and the e-Examination module aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in the examination system.
The institute was appreciated for its infrastructure and engagement with cadets.
