The vendors involved included: Elections Ontario, Compucom, DataFix, ComputerTalk, Compugen, Microserve, Forte, Techiosoft, and Fortra. Several of these companies were facing ongoing lawsuits related to data breaches during the 2024 BC election period.

Two things popped up, Compucom has a partnership with a Chinese company Topnew Info specializing in,”Information Technology provides information and technology services.” “Global Client Support: If a multinational client has operations in both Asia (served by Topnew) and North America (served by Compucom or other GWA partners), the alliance enables coordinated service delivery across all regions.” The other is forte & fortra: “Fortra has been involved in legal lawsuits due to a data breach in January 2023, where a vulnerability in its GoAnywhere managed file transfer solution was exploited by the Russia-linked Clop ransomware group, affecting over 5 million individuals.
