🎙️ Just watched a brilliant interview between
@Coach_Temisan and Armand Kavaja and I have to say, it brought back some real memories.
I had the privilege of both playing and coaching alongside Armand many years ago at London Tigers FC in the youth setup. Even back then, it was clear he was destined for great things — the detail in his planning, the care he showed for his players, and the way he threw himself into every coaching role possible set him apart.
It was inspiring to hear his reflections on his journey through roles at Crystal Palace, Watford, and the Albanian National Team. The way he spoke about the realities of the UEFA Pro License Diploma and how some aspects of it could be introduced much earlier in a coach’s development really resonated with me. Equally important was his honest insight into why certain approaches simply don’t translate into the English academy system.
One standout takeaway was his message about entering new roles or clubs: players need to feel that you genuinely care, that you have their best interests at heart, and that you truly know what you're talking about. Because without connection, there's no buy-in. And without buy-in, there’s no development.
Massive respect to both Temisan and Armand for putting together such an insightful conversation. 👏
