Their goal is to help better understand, protect, and conserve these endangered animals. To achieve this, CLS uses Kinéis satellite connectivity as part of an integral solution, to track sea turtles even in the most remote areas across vast oceans and isolated coastlines. Thanks to this technology, lightweight transmitters attached to the turtles collect and send valuable data including: 📍 Location 📏 Depth 🌡️ Temperature This tracking helps scientists to: 🗺️ Understand their behavior by identifying migratory routes and key habitats like nesting beaches and feeding grounds. ⚠️ Assess human impact (bycatch, maritime traffic overlap). 🛡️ Design and support targeted conservation actions (e.g. Marine Protected Areas, adapted fishing practices). 🎯 This is CLS’ mission: using cutting-edge satellite innovation to support environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.
