One of the things that frustrated the people who used to pay me for my work was that I left with all that I had learned. AI is robbing us of what little countercontrol we have which legitimately threatens the power of capital controllers. They are afraid of what we might learn.

A call for an AI pause is most easily explained as the result of a capital countercontrol than some "concern for the survival of the species": any delay to incumbent action is a competitive opportunity.
Note, centralized control over verbal behavior is still a threat to survival

i think when you cant auto you should cosmic drive so you can countercontrol siege areas by spamming shrooms instead of autoing with nash. if you wanna try morello, pick scorch morello everfrost, finish rabadon, void, zhonyas/something else. all items except cap will be cheap

From a behavioral psychology view: he'll engage in "countercontrol" - essentially, will say or do anything to terminate the noxious stimulus, i.e., prison time.
What will he do? Hopefully make a deal for immunity!
Other options? Deny, blame others. . . or leave the country!

You have little to no countercontrol over prevailing cultural practices. This goes unnoticed because the controls are positively reinforcing. In the past they were aversive and punitive: people are more likely to attack punitive controls than reinforcing controls.
