So the sequence of events is something like this:
-Toxic set a release date sometime in 2026 when they started working on the film, around 2 years ago.
- 19th March became the confirmed date in 2025, before the release of Dhurandhar.
-The latter's success was unexpected for most lobbies, and as a result, most others immediately shifted their release dates around frantically.
-Toxic was the only one that seemingly continued to stay on track, confirming the date in Jan.
-Mediocre receptions to the promo material and backlash from certain quarters for some content shown started dragging the film down, and the makers hastily tried to coursecorrect, failing in the process.
-Finally, seeing the middle east conflict as an exit ramp, they decided to move their dates to June.
