D4vd Ordered Chainsaws, Body Bag, and Shovel After Killing Celeste Rivas, Prosecutors Claim
Prosecutors allege singer D4vd carried out a series of disturbing purchases following the killing of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, according to newly filed court documents cited in multiple reports.
The filing claims D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, killed Rivas on April 23, 2025, at his Hollywood Hills home after allegedly arranging for her to travel there from Lake Elsinore, California.
According to prosecutors, what followed the alleged killing was a sequence of purchases they say were intended to help conceal the crime. The documents allege that the day after the incident, D4vd ordered a shovel from Home Depot, which was delivered to his home via Postmates.
About a week later, prosecutors claim he purchased two chainsaws from Amazon, both delivered to his residence. They further allege he ordered a body bag, heavy-duty laundry bags, and a blue inflatable pool.
The filing states these purchases were made under the fake name “Victoria Mendez.”
Investigators allege the inflatable pool was used in an attempt to contain blood during alleged dismemberment activity inside the garage. The court documents also claim that biological evidence consistent with dismemberment was later recovered during a September search of the property, including blood-positive samples and cut marks consistent with power tools.
Prosecutors further allege that Rivas and D4vd first met in 2022, when she was 11 years old.
His legal team has denied all allegations.
