We showed up and so did the vision. Ubah Media Lab officially launched in Garowe, Somalia, bringing together media professionals, youth innovators, civil society leaders, and policymakers. We introduced Ubah’s vision, to create a space where digital tools, storytelling, and creativity converge to shift narratives and open doors. We were honored to be joined by key institutions and individuals shaping the future of media and civic engagement in Somalia, Puntland Media Association (MAP), Puntland Non-State Actors Association (PUNSAA), and the Women in Media Initiative Somalia / Milgo Media Network. Their reflections reminded us this work is timely, necessary, and shared. With this, our commitment, to young people, ethical storytelling and a more inclusive digital future comes to life.
