I placed a food order worth ₹760 after being shown a delivery time of 45 minutes. The moment I completed payment, the delivery time increased to 70 minutes. My kids were hungry and waiting for their meal.
When I contacted support, your AI chatbot kept giving vague responses about cancellation charges instead of clearly answering a simple question. After wasting several minutes of my time, the order was cancelled with 100% cancellation charges.
₹760 may not seem like much to a large company, but for many ordinary Indians it represents a full day's wage. Charging the entire amount while providing no food and no meaningful assistance is deeply disappointing.
To make matters worse, the customer care associate I spoke with was unprofessional, repeatedly put me on hold when I requested a supervisor, and the call was disconnected before the issue was resolved. During the conversation, I also heard words such as "saala" and "badiya," which I found inappropriate and unprofessional in a customer support interaction.
Customers deserve honesty, transparency, and respect. Today's experience showed none of these.
Will Swiggy review the call recording and explain how this is acceptable customer service?
