The ZEC Bear Case If you're serious about Zcash, you need to steelman the risks too. Here are my seven major risks for $ZEC: 🚨👇 1) Nobody actually cares about privacy. Every prior privacy narrative has ended badly. 2) ZEC treasuries (DATs) pumped the price up but could become forced sellers into thin liquidity on the way down. 3) Inflation runs at 4.2% until Nov 2028, nearly double Bitcoin's current rate. 4) Regulators have delisted privacy coins before, and the political window cuts both ways. 4) The roadmap (Tachyon, Post-Quantum, Crosslink) is mostly unshipped. 5) The Private SoV narrative is purely memetic. ZEC has no cash flows, no meaningful fee revenue, and the price is purely a function of how many people believe that story. 6) ZK privacy tech could commoditize across other ecosystems (ETH, L2s, Solana) eroding Zcash's #1 Schelling-point. 7) @zodl_co VC cap table and @cypherpunk targeting 5% of ZEC supply raise real governance concentration risks.

Privacy isn't just about hiding information. Sometimes it's about revealing it at exactly the right moment. We're excited to welcome Luis Bezzenberger (@bezzenberger) from Shutter Network (@ShutterNetwork) to the Neo-cypherpunk Summit in Berlin. Luis works on threshold encryption systems that protect users and networks from manipulation, front-running, and information asymmetries. His work turns advanced cryptography into practical tools for fairer and more trustworthy digital systems. As governments and corporations race to collect more data, Luis is helping build technologies that preserve privacy while enabling coordination at scale. Come explore how cryptography can become public infrastructure. 14 June, Berlin s26ber.web3privacy.info

Assuming you are pro-cypherpunk, cryptography should not be censored, but AI should be?

Is this the "cypherpunk" moment for AI enthusiasts in the West where finally those with the means and intelligence realize the necessity for frontier adjacent open source models? If not "permissioned access" to intelligence will become standard and then we're cooked.

Er ist cypherpunk. Es war seine Vision den Code zu schreiben um ein gravierendes Problem zu lösen. Er wird seine bitcoin als Beweis liegen lassen, falls er noch lebt.

The @sapiencemarkets options impl is the most cypherpunk you’ll find afaik. The full stack is open source, quotes are passed over a p2p mesh network, permissionless onchain settlement

@pepehodls has over 20 characters in The Dream, but only one of them started everything. The Cypherpunk Pepe, the anarchist, the one who walked through a phone screen and changed the room. His first words were not a greeting, they were a manifesto: "I come from a place where the intangible becomes tangible, where what is imagined can be minted, and what is minted can move value through the world." That is a precise description of how blockchain works. Value moving across a network, ideas becoming assets and ownership becoming real without anyone in the middle. Cypherpunk is not an aesthetic. It is a 1990s movement built on one belief that privacy is a right, not a privilege. That belief gave us Bitcoin, wallets, and private keys. The idea that you could own something digitally without a bank holding it for you. The anarchist part matters, anarchist does not mean chaos rather it means no central authority controlling what belongs to you, your money, your data, your identity and all is yours because the technology makes it impossible for anyone to take it without your permission. Some NFT projects hand you a jpeg and hope you stick around but @pepehodls did something different, they opened their story with a cypherpunk anarchist. Not a random token sale, nor a roadmap but a character with a conviction. That was not an accident, that was everything. #pepehodls #learncrypto
