The programme witnessed the presence of senior officials including Ms. Pallavi Sarkar, IAS, Secretary (Fisheries), Dr. Dinesh Kannan, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Dr. Sandip Kumar Mukhopadhyay, Program Director, MoES, GOI, Shri Jagtap Kalyani Rajendra, DANICS, Director of Fisheries, Dr. Basanta Kumar Jena, Deputy Director, NIOT, Dr. G. Dharani, Group Director, MLR-NIOT, and Dr. Dilip Kumar Jha, Project Director, NIOT-ACOSTI, along with scientists and officials from MoES, NIOT, IIT Guwahati, and various departments. Students from JNRM College and stakeholders from the Fisheries and Forest Departments actively participated in the event.
NIOT continues to contribute towards the development of sustainable ocean technologies and the promotion of blue economy initiatives in island ecosystems.
