This combination of unapologetic religious observance and strategic engagement with Israel suggests that the two are not only compatible but mutually reinforcing. In doing so, Somaliland challenges the long-standing assumption of inherent or permanent enmity between Israel and Muslim Arab-nations.

Governor Seyi Makinde took a bold, historic step by coming out to directly address VeryDarkMan and the protesters in his Ikolaba home. Instead of responding with force, he chose dialogue, empathy, and transparency.
It is truly refreshing to see a leader who listens. By personally engaging with the protesters and assuring them that rescue efforts are ongoing, he has set a new standard for how government should interact with concerned citizens.
He also commended the protesters including VeryDarkMan and the Ratels for their peaceful conduct throughout the demonstration and for ensuring their voices were heard without destruction or chaos.
We remain hopeful and confident that with the relentless efforts of security agencies working around the clock, our abducted teachers and students will return home safely to their families soon.
