I’m only on Twitter now just for #DLNETChat, the rest of the time I’m over on Mastodon and FB. It works well for live conversations though, which is my favourite bit

There’s no shame in using AI as long as it’s transparent and ethical! Definitely agree that a discussion on AI tools, and more importantly, how they are used would be a good one #DLNETChat

I don't know if its too niche, but I'd love to hear from others who run exhibitions with tech in outdoor spaces - it's a whole different set of challenges to inside exhibitions and something I'm trying to tackle at the mo! #DLNETChat

There’s been an upheaval in social media behaviour and preferences recently, would it be time for a #DLNETChat on how we have changed media strategies in response?

Ooh carbon footprint would be an interesting one! There's so many hidden sustainability issues with digital, when many people just assume its the "green" option! #DLNETChat

It would be fun to have a chat about the different exhibition software and feedback tools that folks use #DLNETChat

interesting question! I think I personally live a deep dive into topics, which works better on longer videos - but a good summary or even timestamped breakdown of topics would be amazingly useful! #DLNETChat

Following this month’s #DLNETChat with much interest. A lot of my work at the moment involves enforcing compliance to standards and record structures and I wonder what can be done to accommodate neurodiverse ways of working, not just on the part of users but also for staff.

Brilliant chat with @DLNET today! We're going to be joining them for their 2nd June #DLNETChat! Put it in your diary and come and chat about how digital can support the neurodivergent revolution in #museums and #culture.

And that was #DLNETchat for this month! Thanks so much to Karen and the team @NatMuseumsNI for fascinating insights into what can look like really daunting. I doff my cap in admiration and hope to see similar approaches to the more challenging aspects of the pasts in the future.

I think we all have stories of objects rather spontaneously being offered at the front desk ... :) #DLNETChat (If people are considering donating to a collection, take a look at the organisation's collecting policies first, please - usually found on their website. 🙏🙏)

(1/2) There was some concern that when we put out the open calls for people to come forward with objects and stories that we could be overwhelmed but this wasn’t the case. The response was slow and steady and that continues to this day. #DLNETChat

(2/2) In developing networks of partners, it was also great how much that started to grow quite naturally as word spread and people advocated for us and recommended that others engage with us. #DLNETChat

Really beginning to see how opening up organisations to the new, the lesser known, the less comfortable is never just about including new voices. Audience development = organisational mindset development. #DLNETchat
It's been important for us to bring staff and volunteers along with us and to give them support with this emotional work. This includes expert training from the Education team @WAVETrauma and there have been opportunities to share feelings and experiences through this process.

(2/2) Creating content that matters to the audience is key. With over 1.4 million objects in our collection across @NationalMuseumsNI, digital needs careful planning and coordination #DLNETChat

(1/2) Digital provides us with the opportunity to open doors. With digital there is the option of layering interpretation, so that audiences have that choice of depth of content #DLNETChat
