It’s About Growth, Not a Checklist
As we continue through June 2026, remember that this journey is about genuine spiritual growth, not just "checking a box" for the day. Our goal is to let these scriptures transform our perspective and our priorities. If you missed a few days or are just joining us for the first time—don’t worry! Just jump right in with us today. The path to growth is always open, and there is no "behind" in this study.
Today’s Reading
In 2 Kings 15–16, we chart a turbulent period of political instability and spiritual decline across both kingdoms. We witness a rapid succession of kings in Israel—including Azariah, Zechariah, and Menahem—marked by conspiracy and compromise, while in Judah, the narrative highlights the wicked reign of Ahaz, who completely rejects God's paths and introduces pagan altars into the temple complex. Turning to the book of Psalms, Psalm 55 captures David’s intense emotional distress in the face of betrayal by a close friend. He pours out his anguish, famously wishing for wings like a dove to fly away and find rest, before ultimately resolving to cast his cares upon the Lord, confident that God will sustain the righteous. This video is designed to help you focus on the text without distraction, featuring modern visuals and a clear, read-along experience.
