The #DailyService from Holy Island today. Lovely reflection on St #Aidan of Lindisfarne & the ministry of reconciliation.
If you’ve never listened to this daily act of worship on @BBCRadio4Extra, this week’s broadcasts could be a good place to start.

Thanks to @AngelaTilby for today’s #DailyService. She knows the difference between ‘taking a service’ & *broadcasting*. Her theme, having faith & loving our neighbour in the undramatic details of ordinary life is so welcome. (Plus, she has a lovely voice!) bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002k4…
Just learned from one of the presenters (herself blessed with a lovely broadcasting voice) that the Bible reader is @andrewearis. Thanks to him for always reading so thoughtfully and with such admirable clarity. #DailyService@BBCRadio4Extra
If only all #DailyService presenters would emulate his clarity & articulation. Many are very good but some are really hard to follow, especially for those of us with hearing-aids! Key points: don’t swallow your consonants, don’t drop your voice and above all, don’t rush. Please.
Just listened to the #DailyService on @BBCRadio4Extra. The biblical reading was beautifully given - by whom? He often acts as the lesson reader, and it is always given with real understanding, and with the voice of a true broadcaster.

Why does the BBC #DailyService bombard us with so many noisy worship songs, rather than hymns that are familiar & whose words we can follow? DS used to be 15 minutes of quiet reflection. But not necessarily nowadays. Not today!
Does DS really know its audience?
@BBCRadio4Extra
Join us for a trip around the psalms in the #DailyService @BBCRadio4 this week! Bask in their glorious splendour and messy humanity. Grab a cuppa, put your feet up and have some peace 🙏 With thanks to @AndrewEaris for beautiful production! bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001zv…
Today's #DailyService on @BBCRadio4Extra with @MollyBoot1 features the hymn Rock Of Ages, with the line "when I soar through tracts unknown". This always reminds me of the sequence in 2001: A Space Odyssey when Dave travels through other dimensions. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001yq…
