#DataInsights 120: How many of my persistent disengagements (DE) have been resolved in 12.3? The results are the most mind-blowing thing I've seen for data on FSD in 2 years, but I need to lay some ground work. Using the @EVGuyCanada app, I can track a DE by type & in the same location within 110 meters. You may have seen this before where we can see persistent DE across versions. We can see in 11.4.x that I had literally hundreds of persistent disengagements. Here is a breakdown of my persistent issues by type from a little over a month ago: x.com/eliasmrtnz1/status/175… Also, my 11.4.x lane issues including lane drift: x.com/eliasmrtnz1/status/176… Looking at it from a different angle, you can see that 11.4.x was typically above 40% for persistent DE at the same location with 11.4.9 being at a whopping 56%. @MikeSterner, you wanted to see %, & 12.3 shows 0%...that is the most mind-blowing part! After driving 500 miles on 12.3, the data currently shows that ALL of my persistent DE have been resolved...this is not a typo...All of them! We'll see if this result holds, but let's look at the data from a few more angles. A while ago, I built a calculation that estimates the number of fixes by checking if a future version has those same persistent DE. If it doesn't exist, it counts it as a fix for the issues from a previous version. Some of you on my #DataGames poll guessed the correct answer of 250 but the actual results are insane! x.com/eliasmrtnz1/status/177… Looking at the results grouped by 11.4.x, v12.3 has resolved an estimated 600 persistent DE for me. Even if I break it out by each version, it shows 250 fixes alone for issues in 11.4.9. This is nuts! One final viewpoint of the data is a scatter plot using x/y axis for latitude/longitude. I created a bounding box for my common driving area, so I could overlay plots for 11.4.x persistent issues depicted with green symbol, & 12.3 single DE depicted with a red X symbol. While some of the single DE from 12.3 show up in the same area of the 11.4.x issues, they are unique issues & not persistent. It's unbelievable to see that 12.3 deleted a large volume of my issues in one swoop. I know this isn't representative of everyone's experience, & that many of testers may still be experiencing persistent disengagements. However, if Tesla can make significant progress to fix hundreds of issues in one update, they can definitely do it again. Be vigilant, consistent, & report your issues repeatedly.
