In the wake of decolonization, we have spent more on aid to Africa than it would have cost to start multiple settlements on Mars We could have had bases on the moon, settlements on Mars, and a thriving Rhodesia Instead we have none of that, and billions of dollars sent to the Dark Continent every year to do no good whatsoever
Funding Africa has created more human suffering than feeding them has prevented. On net, sending infinite food and money to Africa was the greatest evil of my lifetime.

Do they get fast track passes at all ER and amusement parks...or is it just parking? Just wondering how this "decolonization" retardation works.

Interesting how Eritreans celebrate @TheEconomist's "Can Eritrea come out of the cold" solely for the US-Eritrea relationship angle while ignoring the rest is factually wrong. E.g. Eritrea did not secede from Ethiopia in 1993. It was a decolonization process. Eritrea was colonized by Italy, then Britain, then illegally annexed by Ethiopia in 1952. The 1993 referendum was independence from Ethiopian occupation, not secession. The article's historical framing is superficial. Before cheerleading for US diplomacy we should demand accuracy on colonial history. #Eritrea #Decolonization

One guy was yelling something about 'decolonization.' My God. When I was young, 'colonization' meant Aunt Frieda taking over our sofa for three months and refusing to leave. Today, suddenly, it's a Zionist conspiracy.
