๐จ Iโm from Iran. For nearly 50 years since the 1979 Islamic Revolution me, my family, and countless friends have lived under this nightmare. We didnโt just hear about itโwe fled it, escaping the blood, fear, and lost lives it brought.
Our freedoms hit a nerve with some Muslims. Our right to free speech, our religion (or none at all), how our women dresses, whatever our identities, even what we eat and drink. Many stay quiet, but deep inside they label us โkafirโ among their family and friends. Others donโt hold backโthey harass, attack, terrorize us.
Reforming their beliefs so they suddenly respect our way of life? It simply doesnโt work. Iโve seen it firsthand and itโs not theory.
Like yin yang some opposites canโt truly merge without one swallowing the other. They need separation to exist.
My take? We protect what we builtstrong borders, zero tolerance for threats to our freedoms, and defend our way of life unapologetically. No more naive hopes for mass reform.
