🚨It's a new week again! This week, I'll be reviewing
@ForgotPlayland,
@spellborne, and
@LowLifeForms. I have been looking into these games all weekend, and I have come up with a detailed roundup of each of them. They've got a nice, addictive storyline😻, and some even offer real-life incentives!
Let's go!
1️⃣ FORGOTTEN PLAYLAND
@ForgotPlayland:
Forgotten Playland is a free-to-play social party game set in an isolated and abandoned “attic”. In the game, a really colorful cast of characters, called the Plushies🌞, take center stage in a world where creativity is left unchecked! (Yup, that's the word I'd use).
The game is really a colorful one and it has a playful, almost childish feel, Ii must say, lol! One of the standout features of Forgotten Playland is its Social Hub, a bustling online space within the attic where players gather to socialize and embark on their adventures.
The game is available on Windows devices, this game promises to deliver endless hours of fun and interaction and so far i’ve seen nothing disappointing in the visuals!
They recently announced the closure of a funding round, securing a hefty 🤑 $7 million investment from renowned names like Merit Circle, Spartan Group, C2 Ventures, and Paper Ventures, from experience, having backers like this always signal a promising future for Forgotten Playland.
Forgotten Playland is being developed by Vermilion Studios, which is a product of a collaboration between two top game makers, Merit Circle and Duckland Games, and trust me these are teams of seasoned developers led by an industry veteran with experience at EA and Ubisoft.
🎮 GAMEPLAY: Forgotten Playland offers an immersive gaming experience with a diverse range of party games designed to captivate – they say players of all ages – but given the visuals, it's most likely to captivate a younger audience!. Each game within the attic world brings its own unique set of challenges and thrills, promising endless entertainment and excitement, here’s a list of few games you can play within the attic:
- Bump-A-Ball: Players engage in a battle of wits and agility on a dynamic platform, balancing offensive and defensive tactics to be the last plush toy standing.
-Color Canvas: Compete in a vibrant world to cover the canvas with designated colors, employing strategy and speed to claim territory and thwart opponents.
-Splash Step: Test memory and agility in a fast-paced game of jumping and strategy, navigating a shifting arena of colored tiles while racing against time and opponents.
-Rolling Rally: Engage in a high-speed pursuit as players race against friends and foes to complete laps around a moving circuit, with intense competition to maintain momentum and finish first.
-Jungle Rumble: Navigate through a lively jungle-themed area, dodging obstacles and rival plushies to become the last one standing amidst unpredictable adventures.
FP TOKEN & UTILITY🪙: The
$FP token serves as the flagship currency of the Forgotten Playland economy, given its fixed total supply and carefully planned distribution, the FP token ensures a fair gaming experience for all players involved.
Its main utility lies in in-game transactions, enabling players to purchase a wide range of items, upgrades, and enhancements to enrich their gaming experience. So, whether it's acquiring new cosmetic items for their Plushies, unlocking special features, or accessing exclusive content, the FP token empowers players to customize and enhance their gameplay in meaningful ways.
Another utility, the FP token opens the doors to the FP Store and the FP Store is a virtual marketplace holding multiple cosmetic options. From stylish outfits and accessories to unique emotes and animations, the FP Store is where you go to personalize your game character!
2️⃣ SPELLBORNE
@spellborne:
Spellborne is a retro inspired monster-catching MMORPG! It's an upcoming, still-in-development game and also the latest venture by Mon StudiosHQ, from info I’ve read about them, the game promises a “nostalgic” journey into the realm of MMORPGs! Also, Mon StudiosHQ's recently raised a funding of $1.35M plus! 🤑
A quick overview: From the outset, I think spellborne tries to set itself apart with its retro-inspired aesthetic, harking back to the golden age of gaming (when we were young, you know that feel and look back then) but they do so while infusing it with modern elements.
They were formerly branding as 'Defimons' before rebranding to 'Spellborne' in November 2023 and which also led us to see a set of fresh features, including revamped characters, storyline, and yeah! A new logo.
Setting and Storyline: The game🎮 is set in a magical world teeming with monsters and mystical guardians. Based on what I have read (as you know the game is still in development), the narrative follows three heroes, each driven by their own aspirations, as they band together to save their world from impending doom.
This narrative depth, coupled with the promise of dynamic adventures where every decision shapes the gameplay experience, ensures that players are in for an immersive journey filled with twists and turns.
Gameplay Features: Spellborne's gameplay mechanics offer a range of activities beyond just monster-catching. So, from crafting and farming to engaging in turn-based combat and traversing different “biomes”, I think the game will provide opportunities for exploration and discovery that'd be super addictive and the incorporation of retro-inspired minigames will serve as needed distractions from the main quest (at least for me!).
3️⃣LOWLIFE FORMS
@LowLifeForms:
Lowlife forms Is an epic rpg shooter filled with alien and droid 🤖 gangsters, space shamans and cosmic smuggling where epic crime meets sci-fi rpg shooter (in their own words lol! I like it!). Built by Call of Duty, R&C, Forza, Marvel, Wolfenstein, & Quake vets.
Gameplay: Set within the confines of "The Can," a futuristic space prison, LOWLIFE FORMS immerses players in a world where convicted alien species battle for their freedom. The gameplay mechanics are deep and evocative, offering a blend of intense shooting action, strategic decision-making, and player-driven economy.
From what I have seen, what sets LOWLIFE FORMS apart is its moddable nature, YUP! They allow players to configure their experience through NFTs that impact gameplay and provide unique benefits.
Blockchain Integration: The chain the game is being built on is SOLANA, in their docs that I read, they have defined a governance system where players can shape the future of the game through ownership of LLF NFTs. These premium NFT drops not only offer true in-game interoperability and utility but also serve as a testament to the potential of blockchain technology in gaming.
Roadmap: According to the roadmap I saw on their website, the journey of LOWLIFE FORMS from conception to realization has been meticulously mapped out into milestones, with each milestone representing a step towards greatness. From R&D and prototyping to closed alpha testing and early access launches, the development team has remained committed to delivering a polished and immersive experience.
That’s all of it! If you found this content useful, leave me a follow as i do this every week! Also like and retweet so other people can see this, and yeah let me know what you think about these games in the comments! See you next week Monday anon!
