Devolution Conference 2025 is officially open, launched by H.E. OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE DEVOLUTION CONFERENCE 2025 IN HOMABAY COUNTY. H.E. the President of the Republic of Kenya, Dr. William S. Ruto, officially opened the 9th edition of the DevCon 2025. The conference attracted over 12,000 delegates from all 47 Counties. This year's theme is dubbed, "For People, For Prosperity: Devolution as a Catalyst for Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice." In his remarks, Dr. Ruto reaffirmed the Council of Governors' commitment to strengthening expertise and delivering meaningful services to the Counties. He also encourages the Council of Governors to leverage technology for optimal service delivery and eliminate corruption. He went ahead to stress that Counties should invest in people-first programs and services close to the people. The Financial Inclusion Fund (Hustler Fund) mandate aligns with the theme of fostering financial inclusion by funding MSMEs.
