Grab yer quarters, Dave's Garage has a working payphone! And it even accepts incoming calls, if you can figure out the new number ;-). I found it brand new in the box, a spare for something. The big problem is that they expect to connect, via a built-in modem, to the central office to get billing and rate information before they'll even THINK about letting you make or receive a call. To get around that, I burned a custom ROM for it in my DigiPro (thankfully, found some compatible EPROMs on eBay). It stubs all that out and customizes the onscreen messages. Next, I attached an HT802 ATA to my LAN, a little box with Ethernet in and two phone ports with a dial tone. The only catch is that you have to provide a VoIP connection via the internet to the little ATA box. So I made that happen, signed up for some cheap service, and now my major expense is the 911 tax. I made a custom "Dave's Garage" plate for it, programmed the VFD display to welcome you to the shop, and it works great! ....as long as you bring a quarter! Is there enough here for an episode on it? I don't know if people are nostalgic for payphones!

Yo llevo varios años con ellos en Madrid y me va genial con el plan de 10gb (los 10g solo sale por 1 puerto rj45, el WiFi es siempre a 1gb, 2.4hz y 5.0hz) averigua si en tu ciudad tienen la Red DigiPro o algo así se llama. Que es la que lleva los 10gb.

#DigiPro automated video segmentation with Machine Learning at Image Engine. Rough Roto is useful for quick response to client concepts. A support ticket requesting temporary rotoscope that did not require artists for this pass — basically a disposable pass. Early experiments used Semantic Segmentation. Good for very rough work. Temporal stability was an issue. Current pipeline uses multiple steps. Starting with an automatic bounding box detection based on a text promo (uses an open source model), to limit the areas for machine learning and avoid excess computation. (Stage2?) SAM2 model is able to predict a binary masking the predominant feature in the bounding box. Masks often overlap, and this requires some work to automatically refine. This is the area of some development, as identifying the target region is important. SAM2 can lose tracking, so they send 5 frame intervals and has SAM2 track for 20’frames — merging all the results. Then the process is reversed to find missing sections between intervals, and merged. Processing the mattes in the farm has all of this work done per shot in approximately 10 minutes! This is actually good enough for 85% of shots!!!
