Really cool "tech blast from the past": Back in 1969 AT&T Bell Labs developed a groundbreaking family of multitasking, multi-user operating systems called UNIX - known for its robustness, flexibility, & influential design principles like hierarchical file system & command-line interface Only 2 yrs later 💻 #OTD in 1971 they released the first ever programmer's manual for this iconic OS Incredibly, #Unix is still widely used today in enterprise data centers & supercomputers. It's the foundation for other major operating systems like macOS, iOS, Android, etc ✨As a matter of fact, when I was doing #VFX work at the big #Hollywood studios (like #DigitalDomain, #Disney, etc) I was among the rare staff artists who actually knew & used actual UNIX coding in my work😉...
