The full programme for Beta Festival 2025 is here, and the ADAPT Centre is delighted to be a central part of this vital exploration into the intersection of art and technology! This year, Beta dives into fluidity — examining how water, information and quantum states challenge fixed forms. We're excited to highlight two key contributions that showcase our engagement as research partner with the festival's themes: 1. Undercurrent: As Below, So Above (Dublin Port) Don't miss the "Undercurrent: As Below, So Above" exhibition at Dublin Port. This exhibition is a powerful reimagining of our entanglement with water, data and ecology, featuring works by artists Kat Austen, Siobhán McDonald and Lauren Moffatt developed during their S T ART4WaterII residencies in Galway, Dublin and Belfast earlier this year. 2. The Ethics Studio: A Living Research Hub Visit The Ethics Studio, our interactive space dedicated to exploring attitudes, values, and expectations around current and future technologies. It's more than an exhibit—it’s a living research environment where you can: Engage: Learn about cutting-edge ADAPT research on digital ethics and responsible AI. Contribute: Participate in voluntary discussions and activities that inform how we approach technology and society. Explore: Navigate a library of tools designed to guide ethical decision-making in the digital sphere. Beta Festival runs November 7th - 23rd.
