There's some story out of goog where a function table bitflip turned a doQuery() into a dropDatabase(), anyway, iirc that was a bad bit on the cpu, so ecc wouldn't have saved it

Never ever write a `.dropDatabase()` function. No matter how many "this could never happen" scenarios you run through. It WILL get abused. And it WILL cause you an outage. And you WILL loose data.
