The Eastern Cape Liquor Board has issued a stern warning to learners across the province following reports of planned “pens down parties” ahead of year-end examinations.
The Board says these gatherings are often marked by excessive alcohol consumption and pose significant risks to learners’ safety and well-being.
As final exams draw to a close, the ECLB reports a surge in tip-offs about planned events taking place in various parts of the province.
According to spokesperson Mgwebi Msiya, the information has been relayed through the Board’s learner ambassadors stationed across different municipalities.
