The rebuilding of Germany's wealth started around 1948, aided by 🇺🇲Marchall plan, in the 50's they had a growthspurt. The ECSC was founded 1951 and the EEC 1957...
While the EU will have had a positive influence after the 1950's for sure it should not be overestimated either.

- 1957: EEC
- 1993: EU
75 to 76 years process. Close enough to the 80 years claim. With peace in west and central Europe.

The ignorance. The EU has been called this since 1993, BUT it has existed under other names and forms since 1951. ECSC → EEC → EU. And if we want to be PEDANTIC it all started in 1949 with IAR.

Am sorry but before Maastrich there was a predecessor. For example the ECSC. It was funded about 75 years ago.
