Startup 1: Build an Edtech system that doesn't just do courses, but vocational studies. Let me explain. Most Edtechs ignore native hands-on skills, they focus mostly on AI or Internet driven skills. They focus on selling courses, or the likes but ignore skills like welding, carpentry, auto repairs etc. Here's what to do, build an Edtech system that teaches online, with the opportunity for hands-on learning offline. You can partner with welders, Carpenters, mechanics to bring people to be taught and to learn from them. They pay you a certain amount every month as a subscription, you take your cut and pay the people who will teach them physically. There are shortages of non Japanese and non German mechanics, and this is a perfect market to fill. At the end of their training, they have not just learnt, they are certified, trained and in some cases if you reach out to car dealers or service centers, to build a relationship with them, they'd end up hiring the people who your Edtech business trained. That way it reduces the risk of the company they might work for , having to train them all over again... Think about this . Everything isn't and shouldn't be a fintech startup.. If you're a graduate or an expert in this field, you can start this gradually and see the growth .. Pay attention and don't miss the next post.. #venturstaq #startupideas

India's learning economy runs on fear, not aspiration. fear of falling behind. fear of the wrong school, the wrong board, the wrong stream. etc etc etc. this anxiety is manufactured and monetized at scale. schools colleges and edtechs raised billions on it. coaching institutes built empires on it. the fear is so ingrained that the system knows all it needs to produce is not learning but the feeling that not participating.. is real dangerous.

Last week @projectreadai was named #23 in TIME’s list of top edtechs. I was truly caught off guard and am grateful to many. That includes all the educators who’ve shaped the platform, plus partners that have made our journey as a mission-driven, bootstrapped venture possible. Much more to come. @UFLiteracy @HollyLanePhD @ValContessePhD @IMSEOG @GPIIFoundation @StanfordGSB @reedcharitable @nsvf

Looking for pre-seed investors!!! Hey I am 21 year old founder (IIT dropout), coding since when I was in class 6th, and I have been around in edtech from past 4 years, handling tech of giant Edtechs of India Now I am building a mentor first AI SaaS LMS. Think of it like Classplus on AI steroids. Check it out on Synappses.in I will keep sharing the journey of building it from scratch over here.. Product is already live with paying customers on it ( 4k$ MRR ) It has a lot of feature which I have carefully crafted seeing the market from the inside. Like the language conversion model we are developing will help the mentors to convert language of videos with lip sync in very cheap rate ( probably the cheapest in India ) Imagine a teacher sitting in Bangalore and teaching someone in Spain. the AI metrices will keep the students updated about their performance and they will get the notification on their app There are lot of carefully crafted features that we are building for mentors. Referrals will be appreciated @lightspeedvp @firstcheque @mukul_classplus @BlumeVentures

> meet 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘆 > son of a contractor from a humble household in Prayagraj > drops out of college in the 3rd year to chase a passion for teaching > starts a YouTube channel, Physics Wallah, with just a whiteboard and a phone > rejects multicrore offers from edtech giants to keep education affordable > builds a massive community of students who treat him like an emotion > becomes India’s 101st Unicorn while being one of the only profitable edtechs > expanded from online videos to opening "Vidyapeeth" offline coaching centers nationwide. > stayed true to his teaching roots instead of becoming just another corporate executive. What is the biggest lesson Alakh Pandey should learn from the rise and fall of BYJU'S to ensure Physics Wallah stays sustainable?

I noticed a gradual shift in the EdTech ecosystem in 2025 when creators started making $100k selling simple courses. AI shifted the demand for skills, people wanted fast to market, AI skills caught attention but most Edtechs couldn’t catch up fast... Truly a beautiful ride 🤍❤️
We’re proud to have been part of your learning journey.

Big Tech just got a 15-day ultimatum from the NHRC. ⚖️ The National Human Rights Commission has issued notices to Google, Meta, Microsoft, and several EdTechs over alleged DPDP Act violations. The focus? Children’s Data. 🧵
