NEW: a reader informs me that Indian bodyshops have begun outright bribing the executives of client companies in order to win contracts. He writes: "There are tons of bodyshops in the NY/NJ area who have been gaming the system for years. Apparently, some of these consultancies became so cocky and arrogant over time, that they got careless and started discussing which set of client company executives were being bribed by them (in exchange for projects) on their own email network. Any federal agency should be able to trace the payoffs. The more sophisticated ones pay the bribes overseas so that the Feds can never trace the payments." According to him, some bodyshops will even "tak[e] clients out to hedonistic activities" in order to secure contracts, and one of the bodyshops involved in bribery "has a division that caters to the federal government." According to his sources, Connexions and EDGESYS are two companies that should be investigated. He adds that Indian bodyshops work with immigration law firms, "who are actively coaching them on how to game the system." @USDOL @USCIS @TheJusticeDept
