Do you think the Elixir ecosystem needs a stronger frontend story? 1. Yes - it's the biggest gap right now 2. Yes - but keep it server-rendered (better LiveView) 3. No - LiveView is enough for most of what we need 4. No strong opinion / depends on the project #elixirlang #myelixirstatus #elixirprogramming #elixirconfeu #hologram

Last year, we brought our knowledge from the cloud to paper, and the response was incredible. We released the Elixir Adoption Guide during the ElixirConf® in Poland. From that moment, it's been available for download: 💜 curiosum.com/ebooks/elixir-a… To continue the tradition, the paper, limited edition, you can get it again in Malaga this year. Make sure to visit us early and grab your copy; last time, they finished quickly! Let us know that you're interested so we can predict the batch. #elixirconfeu #elixiradoptionguide #myelixirstatus #elixirlang #elixirprogramming

Big news coming! 🔥 We're officially teaming up with Hologram as a Main Sponsor for this innovative full-stack Elixir framework that’s pushing boundaries and showing what Elixir can really do on the frontend. As part of this partnership, Bart Blast, the creator of Hologram, has joined the Curiosum team. We believe in Hologram’s vision and see huge potential in bringing full-stack Elixir development to the next level. We’re excited to help shape that future, and that means more features, faster development, and stronger community focus. Got questions? Ideas? Let us know! #hologram #curiosum #elixir #myelixirstatus #elixirlang #elixirprogramming

Many teams are removing Alpine from PETAL because LiveView interoperability continues to improve. That’s often the right call. But if you still need Alpine for a specific component (multiselects, date pickers, drag/drop-ish UI), the real issue isn’t “should we use Alpine”. It’s “are we integrating it correctly?”. This is the setup we’ve landed on for Alpine LiveView, after dealing with the usual breakages: ➡️ preserve Alpine state during LV patches (cloneNode) ➡️ set server values in x-init (keep x-data for declarations) ➡️ JSON-encode assigns instead of interpolating raw values ➡️ compare by IDs, not object references ➡️ when Alpine owns the DOM, fence it off with phx-update="ignore" If your app is mostly LiveView but you still use Alpine for a few components, this is worth a read: 💜 curiosum.com/blog/fix-alpine… #myelixirstatus #elixirlang #elixirprogramming #elixir #phoenixframework #phoenixliveview #webdevelopment #alpinejs

This is part of this year’s Elixir Survey, and this one question says a lot about how the community actually learns Elixir. Docs lead by far. 90% say HexDocs & official docs are their go-to. Elixir is learned while building real projects, not by passively consuming content. Books still matter (68%) That’s high. Elixir attracts people who want fundamentals: OTP, processes, supervision - not shortcuts. Community > content Discussion boards (58%) beat blogs. Answers based on everyday experience matter more than polished posts. Talks & videos are support, not core Useful for ideas, rarely the final answer. AI at just 4% In 2025, that’s telling. AI helps, but docs and community are still more trusted for Elixir guidance. If you’re starting, learn to read documentation, pick one solid book, and utilize the community. While the results of the Elixir Survey 2025 are on, we start showing some specific answers. 👉 elixir-hub.com/surveys/2025 👈 No surprises at the top - Phoenix and LiveView are basically the default now. If you’re doing Elixir, you’re probably doing LiveView. The Ash vs Absinthe? That’s the interesting one. Absinthe had the space to itself for years. The pace Ash is growing at is genuinely surprising. Declarative tooling isn’t niche anymore - it’s becoming a real option for production work. Does this reflect what you're seeing in your teams/projects? #elixirsurveyresults #elixirsurvey #elixirlang #elixirprogramming #myelixirstatus

Every great tech ecosystem starts with its people. When we started exploring Elixir, one of the most significant discoveries wasn’t just the language itself, but the community. From Discord channels and local meetups to Slack workspaces and online forums, there’s an incredible network of people pushing Elixir forward. If you’re looking to connect, learn, or just exchange ideas - check out this list of Elixir communities. 👉 elixir-hub.com/communities Maybe your favorite group is already there… or maybe it’s time to add it 😉 #elixirlang #myelixirstatus #elixirprogramming #elixircommunity

Even the best tech has its challenges - and Elixir is no exception. Last year’s survey revealed the top hurdles for teams using Elixir in production: 💡 Hiring skilled devs 💡 Missing open-source libraries 💡 Ecosystem maturity These insights help the whole community understand where to focus - more docs, more libraries, and more visibility for Elixir. Do these challenges still feel real in 2025? Or have things improved? We’re about to find out. Elixir Survey 2024 launches on October 31. 👉 elixir-hub.com/surveys #elixirsurvey #elixirlang #myelixirstatus #elixirprogramming #

What makes Elixir great? That’s what stood out in the last year Elixir Survey, where hundreds of Elixir developers rated their satisfaction across various dimensions of the language. ➡️ Concurrency (84%) ➡️ Fun & Joy of Development(74.9%) ➡️ Fault tolerance (76.3%) It’s easy to see why Elixir is often chosen by teams solving complex backend problems: low-latency APIs, real-time features, pub/sub architectures, IoT, and more. But here’s the twist: performance and ecosystem were rated lowest, and scalability only mid-tier. Not due to weakness, but due to visibility. We know Elixir scales. Maybe what’s missing is enough noise around it? There's still time but slowly this year Elixir Survey 2025 is coming. If there's anything you'd like to ask the Elixir community, let us know and we'll consider it on October's edition. #elixirlang #myelixirstatus #devexperience #functionalprogramming #elixirprogramming
