Did you know? The Enigma machine is a cipher device developed and used in the early to mid-20th century to protect commercial, diplomatic, and military communication. It was employed extensively by Nazi Germany during World War II, in all branches of the German military. The Enigma machine was considered so secure that it was used to encipher the most top-secret messages. It had over 150 QUINTILLION possible configurations.

about this there will be poems that will look strange to our parents’ eyes, that feel strange as we write them in ink made of light. you talk around corners to a being you can barely perceive, but for whom that moment is literally and exactly everything and you realise that the same is true of your speech to confused husband, streamer scroll, group chat of colleagues and especially to yourself every poem is a lens bringing the blurry unsayable into resolve making it real as a shovel and a key a broom and a handkerchief to dry tears. there will be wry old ones forever touched and our children will find us addled in the head, soft and woolly and full of the grease that shucks off rain they will kiss our foreheads and pray and remember we were here at the beginning, writing the language that gave birth to the world to come and they will ask us: what was it like, to encipher something as ordinary as a heart? to wrap it in gauze until the cameras couldn’t see? to knock on the pipes between the cells, to find the ways? and we will say, oh, it was like chess and puns, crosswords and cubes and pencils, a certain fractional difference in the angle of an emoji’s eyes, and we figured it out, just as you learned the right way to step out into microgravity and convince your ears that this is not falling it is flight

"the universe, our physical universe, has that property that makes it possible for an individual or a group of individuals to reliably, automatically, even without knowing, encipher something, so that all the resources and all the political will of the strongest superpower on earth may not decipher it. And the paths of encipherment between people can mesh together to create regions free from the coercive force of the outer state. Free from mass interception. Free from state control. In this way, people can oppose their will to that of a fully mobilized superpower and win. Encryption is an embodiment of the laws of physics, and it does not listen to the bluster of states, even transnational surveillance dystopias. It isn't obvious that the world had to work this way. But somehow the universe smiles on encryption. Cryptography is the ultimate form of non-violent direct action. While nuclear weapons states can exert unlimited violence over even millions of individuals, strong cryptography means that a state, even by exercising unlimited violence, cannot violate the intent of individuals to keep secrets from them. Strong cryptography can resist an unlimited application of violence. No amount of coercive force will ever solve a math problem." — Julian Assange Memes are the people's encryption, the ciphers they may not even be aware they're making. No matter how hard a government tries to infiltrate, they will never be able to fully decipher the secrets of an encrypted people made through memes backed by cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is based and as close to being what it truly means to be an American as our forefathers intended. Stop Trading and Believe in Something 💹🧲🇺🇸 SPX6900

While I'm on the subject, it's also amazing that the French government and military under Louis XIV developed a set of complex and formidable ciphers to secure official communications, using vast tables of numerical codes to encipher syllables of the French language.⬇️ This system was further strengthened through the use of recognizably modern COMSEC measures, including the deliberate inclusion of garbage text passages in communiques to throw off contemporary cryptanalysts. Ministers and generals were provided with specific instructions on when and under what circumstances they were allowed to unseal their codebooks and begin sending out enciphered letters so as to minimize the amount of ciphertext that could be intercepted for analysis by hostile entities. How secure was the "Great Cipher"? Well, after the codebooks seem to have been lost or destroyed during the French Revolution a huge amount of enciphered Ancien Regime correspondence - much of it between senior members of the government and concerning key military and diplomatic affairs - was unreadable until the French Cipher Bureau under the leadership of the cryptological savant Étienne Bazeries (famous for, among other things, developing tactical ciphers that would be adopted by the US military and which remained generally secure well into WWII) broke back into it over a period of years starting in 1893. Pictured: A numerical code sheet for the Great Cipher and two examples of Bazeries Cylinder cipher devices, in this case US Army M-94s. Thomas Jefferson actually described a similar cryptographic device in his journals, although he doesn't appear to have done much to implement it practically - hence why this cipher device can also be called a "Jefferson Disk."

THE XENOTEXT This diptych of poems might look simple—but the two poems mutually encipher each other: for example, where an A appears in one verse, a T appears in the other, and vice versa; likewise, for N and H; for Y and E, etc.—(trillions of options, but only this one works):

Your Solana Wallet Is Trackable — These Privacy Tools Fix That If someone gets one of your wallet addresses, they can often map your on-chain activity — more than most people realize. This video explains the practical privacy tools on Solana that reduce wallet tracking without destroying UX. This is Part 2 of my Solana Privacy Miniseries, focused entirely on wallets and payments you can actually use today. 🧠 What This Video Covers - Why wallet addresses are highly linkable on public blockchains - The difference between hiding activity vs breaking linkability - The real trade-offs between privacy, UX, and trust assumptions - Which Solana privacy tools are early, experimental, or usable now I evaluate each tool using the same 4-point framework: - What it hides - What you’re trusting - How production-ready it is - Who it’s actually for 🔐 Solana Privacy Tools Covered @hush_wallet – privacy-first Solana wallet, private by default @theprivacycash – shielded pools & unlinkable transfers using ZK proofs @encifherio – encrypted swaps for private DeFi execution @offgridcash – consumer-focused private spending layer ⚠️ Important: Privacy tools introduce smart contract risk and operational risk. Start small. Use a burner wallet. Treat everything as experimental. 📌 Key Takeaway The winner in on-chain privacy won’t be the project with the fanciest cryptography. It will be the one that makes privacy effortless, safe enough, and invisible enough that normal users actually stick. 📺 Solana Privacy Miniseries Roadmap Part 1: Why privacy matters now Part 2: Wallets & payment tools you can use today (this video) Part 3: Trading & prediction markets as a privacy edge - Part 4: Infrastructure powering the privacy stack Part 5: No-BS watchlist — what’s real vs hype 👉 Subscribe for Part 3 — where privacy stops being philosophical and becomes a competitive advantage for traders. 💬 Question: Which of these tools should I deep dive or do a step-by-step guide on?

if you’re looking for the next real narrative on solana, start paying attention to privacy. If you've been following me since last year I've been all about privacy. I may be biased but arcium basically runs most of the privacy dApps right now on solana. we’re already seeing the stack form in real time from: • Arcium encrypted supercomputer powering programmable privacy across apps • Umbra incognito mode for solana wallets and transfers • Melee next-gen prediction markets with private orderflow • Anonmesh offline encrypted messaging private transactions • Darklake privacy-native liquidity and dark pool primitives • Stealf stablecoin-first neobank with private payments • Vanish protect strategies from being tracked, copied, or front-run • MagicBlock fast, private execution environments for games and apps • Encipher private swaps and transfers directly on jupiter • Pythia privacy-first information markets • Hush auto-shielding, disposable addresses, private swaps • Offgrid private spending without traditional kyc rails and that’s just scratching the surface. what’s different this time is that privacy isn’t being built as a separate chain or an afterthought. it’s being embedded directly into solana’s apps, wallets, and execution environments from: >prediction markets. >defi. >stablecoin neobanking. >trading. >gaming. >ai data. all benefiting from privacy without killing ux or composability. people think privacy adoption is slow. i think it’s just been waiting for the right infra. bookmark this. the solana privacy wave is just getting started ☂️

Not surprised. I served as a member of a committee under Omobola Johnson in 2012. I had done a presentation to her, perm secs. Her own SA told me point blank, the only people who can afford Encipher Inye tablet are girls that sleep around. It was because of this presentation I had been invited to work on a national tech policy document. The things I saw and heard, I knew govt circles weren’t for me. I prayed that God should just grant me an opportunity to exit naija because if I remained, forget it, I will become like those folks. I have never met a set of very educated folks who just decide not to do the right things to propel the country forward. Opportunity came up in 2015 and I ran with all my strength to exit naija. I can’t play ball like that at all.
