"ExProLife" seriously, wtf?

Everyone, tell me your #exprolife stories! For yourself or someone you know. I want to show people that forced-birth activists CAN change, and that helping them understand why abortion is needed is worth the effort.

β€œI could only see an innocent and helpless baby vs a more powerful adult. . . .Then I learned pregnancy is a dice roll of an inexhaustible list of risks.” Reminder that with the right education, forced-birth activists can change. #ExProLife

I am #prochoice. I am also a former member of the Christian Right. My latest blog for @DaretoDoubt explains how I changed my views - and how I think we can better dialogue with the #prolife side. #ExProLife daretodoubt.org/post/what-pr…

Thank you all for your thoughtful responses to my last blog post. It has already garnered more views than any other, and I am grateful for the shares. πŸ™πŸ½ I want to boost some of the other #prolife turned #prochoice voices I found: #ExProLife #ExForcedBirth

And that’s when I realized how toxic and cruel the Evangelical prolife movement had been to women. #ExProLife

I wrestled with it as I got more involved with feminism. But the tipping point happened when I met a coworker and friend who told me she’d had an abortion, but she was too scared to tell me because she knew I was a Christian. #ExProLife

I was urged by multiple people to join the Teens for Life group in high school. But I couldn’t bring myself to do soβ€”I said I agreed with President George W. Bush, β€œexcept in cases of rape, incest, or if the mother’s life was in danger” #ExProLife

Holy. Shit. So I wrote a thing and tagged it #exprolife not realizing there's a WHOLE BUNCH of people who are in the same boat as me. Reading through the tags I feel like a bobble head. It's nice to know I'm not alone.

My beautiful best friend @RTVox wrote a phenomenal post on what it’s like to be #ExProLife . Please read and share! msrtvox.wordpress.com/2019/0…

I became #ExProLife when I learned being pro-life means granting some people rights over others.

I became #ExProLife in an instant. It was mere seconds from being pro life to pro choice. Those seconds were spent in front of the pregnancy tests at my local grocery store. It was in that moment I finally understood that I was thankful for and wanted the choice if I needed it

Pro-lifers think that kinda stuff, or at least associate being pro-choice with killing babies. For info from folks raised in the pro-life movement but now pro-choice, I recommend #ExForcedBirth. (There is also #ExProLife, but more are using the former.)

#ExProLife #ExForcedBirth Are hashtags worth checking out and promoting. The #Exvangelical community is speaking out about how they were programmed to be pro life.
