Fair enough - except, in reality, examtech is a complete waste of time to get into colleges that don't add any value. I honestly don't believe this will survive another decade in the same form. Or I don't want it to :)

Stoa, GrowthX etc = EdTech
Byjus, Aakash, Unacademy etc = ExamTech.
However,
Traditional college is still a necessity for 95% of the world outside the startup Twitter echo chamber.
In fact, GrowthSchool themselves put out a hiring tweet with #MBA as a requirement.
#IMHO.

If you want to learn, go to Skill Lync, Scaler, Stoa, GrowthX, BitClass, GrowthSchool, Jovian, AntWak, Masai, Nxtwave & other modern learning communities.
I can bet you'd do 100X better than going to the traditional college or the yesteryear folks.

Tuition industry in India is ~25Bn$.
This industry grew because the school system (~34.3Bn$) failed.
Now, the tuition industry is being "organised" by Ed-Tech. Highest valued player: ~22Bn$.
Mad valuations for an industry that was not needed in the first place.

This slick ad for Akash Byju's glorifies exactly that which is most reprehensible about the coaching system. Dazed students being whiplashed by militaristic teachers to make them 'win'. And that is sadly why this ad will probably work. Learning be damned.
