The Central Bank of Turkey’s (CBRT) external assets have shown sharp daily fluctuations over the past week.
On November 10 and 11, external assets increased by more than $2 billion per day. However, this was followed by a sharp $5.2 billion drop on November 12, and then a $4.6 billion rebound the next day.
On November 14 and 17, the data pointed to a combined decline of around $6 billion.
In the weekly data to be released on Thursday, however, gross reserves as of November 14 are expected to show a weekly increase of approximately $2.8 billion—compared to a $1.4 billion rise recorded in the week ending November 7.
