China’s Net External Assets up US$210 Billion at Late June:China's net external assets expanded by 210.4 billion U.S dollars from the end of March due to a fall in external liabilities, according to the data released by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE). China’s external net assets stood at 2775.8 billion U.S. dollars on June 31, 2023. In terms of external assets and external liabilities, they both fell from March 31. At the end of the first half of 2023, China’s external financial assets and external financial liabilities were 9,367 billion U.S. dollars and 6,591 billion dollars, representing 78.6 billion U.S. dollars and 289 billion dollars less from those three months earlier.
