Interesting how the render on the left shows the first conceptual design for the C-390 to be merely a supersized version of the E-Jet, carrying over its tail unit, cockpit, wings and engines wholesale while engineering a clean-sheet fuselage sized to transport medium-sized armoured vehicles. Clearly, this approach did not bear fruit because the design that did pass CDR and entered FSED departs heavily from that approach, becoming a larger, distinct and more voluminous aircraft that borrows very little from the E-Jets.
The C 390 would probably be the most logical choice here. Mahindra and Embrarer have signed an MOU which has set the stage for the establishment of Production lines and MRO facilities here in India.
