Farmworkers represent the best of California. They are the backbone of our state. From movements to food, music, art and emergency preparedness, this community, led in large part by women, is foundational to the prosperity of the Golden State. #FarmworkerAwarenessWeek

Farmworkers help feed more than 330 million people in this country. But only 14% can get health insurance through their jobs. They were left out of key labor laws. They’re not guaranteed overtime pay. Many work in fields treated with pesticides—and more than half don’t even know when they’ve been exposed. This #FarmworkerAwarenessWeek, take a moment to understand what farmworkers are up against.
