Celebrating a milestone for women in STEM. #FemInStem #IMPACTMakers #WomenEmpowerment
20 May 2025
A big congratulations to Ms. Jessica Moseme, MSc candidate in Bioethics, for delivering her progress presentation earlier today on: “Roadmap for Clinical Trials in South Africa: Facilitating Market Access for Locally Manufactured Medical Devices” Under the supervision of Dr. Heidi Matisonn and Prof. @SudeshSivarasu , Jessica is tackling one of the most critical barriers in our local MedTech landscape — the need for streamlined, ethically grounded clinical trial pathways that enable locally developed medical technologies to reach those who need them most. We are deeply grateful to the @NRF_News & @dstigovza for funding Jessica’s work and supporting this important study at the intersection of ethics, innovation, and access. Jessica’s work embodies what it means to lead with purpose in #FEMinSTEM — bringing ethics into the heart of MedTech innovation for South Africa and beyond. @uctbme @UCTMedTech @UCTHealthSci #MedTech4Her #EthicsInInnovation #Bioethics #ClinicalTrials #LocalInnovation #UCTMedTech #MedicalDevices
