even more impressive than the mere bandwidth is the latency no one is talking about. 30Mbps with traditional systems is kinda okay, you could do basically anything you do at home except large filetransfers or sth like that. but the 50-60ms starlink has is about a magnitude better than systems relying on geostationary satellites. this is what makes starlink really feel like at-home-internet.
I'd like to use it a lot more but it's hard to do anything when it's walled off from the internet and you've only really got telnet access from some ssh bridge they've set up. No x11 apps, no filetransfers. They also changed it to keep logging out your account an hour of idle.

One of the busiest airports in EMEA needed a way to secure #filetransfers without disrupting daily operations.
With contractors and staff regularly using #USB drives to move data between air-gapped systems, the risk of file-borne threats was growing fast.
By deploying MetaDefender Kiosk™ they gained complete oversight of removable media use—scanning every file at the point of entry and stopping threats before they could move further.
