On Thursday, I had the opportunity to talk about how you can now use the Foundation Model framework to integrate Gemini in your iOS apps (brought to you by @Firebase), including a fun live demo. A bunch of Firebas engineers joined - including @paulbeusterien, who is one of the engineers who built the integration!

When I went to pick up some swag at the Apple Visitor Center (I got the 50yr anniversary T-shirt), I had a serendipitous encounter with @MarcLabergeML and Mickaël, and we had a fun conversation about Firebase, working at Google, AI, and Xcode!

amzn.asia/d/0h3r7tIr

No. They usually send a single request to Firebase targeting a topic or user segment. Firebase then performs the fan-out internally and delivers the notification to millions of devices through its distributed infrastructure. This avoids 50M direct API calls from Zomato's servers.

Met a very happy @Firebase user. Always great to hear how Firebase allows developers to focus on their app instead of getting bogged down managing infrastructure!

The rest of the week went by in a frenzy, and I was way too busy so I forgot to post more pictures. So for posterity, here are a couple more.

Exactly... None of that. You can't get locked out of this one... It's yours... Once you buy it, it's yours, even the Firebase Acct. can be transferred to you.

Flutter developers can now use Dart for both their frontend and their Firebase backend. In this handbook, @atuohaa explains Dart Cloud Functions and the Firebase Admin SDK. You'll learn how to build, test, and deploy functions, share models across your stack, and navigate current limitations. freecodecamp.org/news/how-to…

/3.2 Be it Firebase, Supabase, or your own VM (configured and used via SSH), the agent can test the service and integrate it end-to-end if it has access to infra. Whether the infra should be a concern of the website or a different worker is a separate topic for another time.

You don't need firebase to show notification, your app can handle it, just send an event to your application.

If not then how would you propose to do it? The devices could be Android, IoS, browser etc. Firebase handles it all for us.

Actually it makes only 1 API call and Firebase handles the rest. Perfect encapsulation of complexity.

You know that sqllite and firebase are entirely different services.

The catch is they require an App platform. We use Firebase for the security and operations capabilities. Actually it's the Market Best. That cost is $49 per month. The AI is truly yours. It molds itself to you. It is transferable to another platform at your discretion. And for heavy use it might require our pro service of $99 per month. But the Privacy & Security are Top Notch.

Thanks for sharing this. I went through it and understood your point. The whole fan out is encapsulated by Firebase.
