Honor. Respect. Remembrance.
On Tuesday, dedicated members of the Prince George’s County Police Department completed their four day, 300-mile bike journey from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. as part of the Police Unity Tour, joining thousands of riders from agencies across the nation. Before making their way into D.C., Team PGPD made a stop at our Landover District III Station.
We’re proud of our riders for pushing through the elements and riding in memory of the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. On Thursday, the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 89 and the Prince George’s County Police Department Command Officers’ Association came together for the annual Fallen Heroes Memorial Service.
The ceremony honors the 30 PGPD officers and 3 K-9s who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, along with members of our partner agencies who lost their lives while serving the people of Prince George’s County.
Their legacy, through friends, families, and officers, will live on forever and inspire those who wear the badge today.

Cpl. Martinez said it best — auto theft can happen quickly, sometimes in just seconds 🚗💨
Make your car a hard pass for thieves. Lock it, take your key fob, don’t leave it running, and consider adding additional layers of security.
Help us keep your vehicle safe.

Feeling lucky this St. Patrick’s Day weekend? 🍀 Don’t push it on Friday the 13th…
If you plan to celebrate with alcohol, make a plan to get home safely. A sober driver, rideshare, or Metro can keep your night festive — and keep you from trading your car keys for a pair of handcuffs.
