β€œWe ride for those who died.” What began in 1997 with just 18 cyclists has grown into one of the most powerful traditions in law enforcement remembrance. This year, an estimated 2,600 riders arrived in Washington, D.C. as part of the Police Unity Tour, joining thousands gathered at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to honor officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Every mile ridden represents a promise that the fallen will never be forgotten and that their families will never walk alone. The journey is physically demanding, emotionally powerful, and deeply meaningful to the law enforcement community. To every rider, volunteer, and supporter: thank you for carrying the memory of our fallen heroes forward. On this last day of Police Week, we pause to honor the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. Throughout the week, members of the Baltimore Police Department proudly joined the Police Unity Tour, riding hundreds of miles to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in remembrance of our fallen heroes and in support of the families they left behind. Police Week is a powerful reminder that we must never forget those who gave their lives protecting others. Thank you to everyone who stood with us in honoring their legacy. We invite you to join us next year as we continue to remember, reflect, and ride for those who gave everything. #PoliceWeek2026 #PoliceUnityTour #HonorTheFallen #NeverForget #BaltimorePolice #NationalPoliceWeek

Day two looked and felt very different from day one. The men and women of OPD woke up bright and early to gray skies, cold temperatures, and rain, with a tough, hilly 70 miles ahead of them after riding more than 100 miles yesterday. Despite the adversity, every member of OPD continues to ride in honor of those who lost their lives in the line of duty and in remembrance of the fallen. #NationalPoliceWeek #PoliceUnityTour
