This year, an estimated 2,600 riders arrived in Washington, D.C. as part of the Police Unity Tour, joining thousands gathered at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to honor officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Day two looked and felt very different from day one. The men and women of OPD woke up bright and early to gray skies, cold temperatures, and rain, with a tough, hilly 70 miles ahead of them after riding more than 100 miles yesterday.
