No. The Flexcode changes at regular intervals for security reasons. What Flexa does actually enhances the security and utility of GC. You can fund the flexcode with any amount and with very limited opportunity for fraud; unlike traditional gift cards

What if I generate a flexcode for chipotle for $15 and then don't use it? Does it get returned to my wallet eventually?

Just like you say @DrAnonymous77, the Flexcode you see always available is scan and go. All the supported merchants can be found when you tap on the option dots and Find Places to Pay. For the merchants listed at the bottom of the screen, you need to generate a one-time QR code.

Is the Flexcode able to be scanned at self-checkout registers or does it require checking out with a cashier?

TLDR on the integration is that Flexa is partnered with the POS companies (NCR, Citcon, etc) The merchants don’t even know what asset they are accepting, they receive cash (or whatever they want) Merchant presses the Flexa button on the POS terminal that’s already integrated and scan the flexcode.
