The Border Security Force (BSF) air wing has appointed its first woman flight engineer in its more than 50-year history following the completion of an in-house training program.
Inspector Bhawna Chaudhary, along with four male officers, was recently awarded her flying badge by BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chawdhary.
Since 1969, the BSF aviation unit has operated under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), supporting the operational needs of all paramilitary forces as well as elite units such as the NSG and NDRF.
